About Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center

Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center is a private, coeducational day school in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Ministering to approximately 240 students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grades, SCCLC seeks to graduate students who are spiritually and academically prepared to impact the world for Christ.

The school was started in 1977 to serve missionary children, but today SCCLC is open to MKs, Bolivians, and international students. The student body has changed from having a majority of MKs to now being 70 percent Bolivian. This provides an increased opportunity for outreach.

SCCLC is located on a six-acre campus with nearly 20 classrooms, modern computer and science labs, a library, a chapel, and a large multipurpose building. It also has playgrounds, an outdoor basketball court, and a soccer field. The school’s dynamic curriculum offers everything from guitar and drama classes to social studies and advanced placement sciences.

In addition to one-on-one interaction with students in the classroom, teachers minister through chapels, Bible studies, youth group, camps, and retreats. They also have a unique opportunity to minister to non-Christian students and their families. Many students have accepted Christ while studying at the school, and they have become ambassadors for Christ in their homes.

SCCLC has been associated with the Association of Christian Schools International since 1984 and was accredited by ACSI in 1994. The school is an official testing center for the PSAT and ACT college entrance exams, and Learning Center graduates are readily accepted into highly recognized colleges and universities in the United States.
